Our Staff
The staff at St Augustine's show complete dedication to the welfare of the children. They are a great team, most of them having been a part of the Nursery for many many years.

Veronique - Manager
I have been working at St Augustine’s since March 2006 and have become Manager in April 2017. I am also hold the roles of Deputy Safeguarding Officer, and the Behaviour and Equal Opportunities issues coodinator.
I hold a NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, I have a Degree in Arts and I am a mother of two. Being originally from France, and having lived in England for over 20 years, I am bilingual, which can be a valuable support to French speaking families.
The many years I have spent at this setting are a testimony of my long experience in working with children and my dedication to this community playgroup.
Juliet - Deputy
I have been working with children since I completed my NNEB back in 1988 working in nurseries and being a nanny to various families and also becoming a mother of three. I started at St Augustine’s in 2010 as staff cover then in November 2012 a full time position became available so I jumped at the chance. I became deputy manager in April 2017. I am the designated safeguarding person and the lead for ECAT (Every Child A Talker) promoting communication and language in the setting. St Augustine’s is a fun and friendly environment to work and we have a hard working fun strong team of practitioners who work great together.
Dee - Early Years Practitioner
I am an Early Years Practitioner; I hold a level 2 Qualification in Pre-school Practice and Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce. I have been working at St Augustine's Nursery since 2011. I am the designated person for Health and Safety, as well as a fire warden alongside one of my colleagues. I speak Greek fluently and am a mother of 3 children.
Sue - Early Years Practitioner
My name is Susan (Sue) and I have been working with children for over 20 years both in education and play, most of my background experience is working with special needs children.
I have a City & Guilds in caring for children 0-7 years diploma in pre school and level 2 in Children and young people in the workplace.
I have worked at St Augustine’s for 5 years, as cover staff and now a full time member of the team. I have taken on the role of SENCO.
Veronica - Early Years Senior Support Worker
I have worked with children for 36 years in playgroup settings.
I have completed the Pre-school Learning Alliance and NVQ Level 3.
I have worked at St Augustine’s nursery since 2000.
